During the final year, we were approached by a representative of the Suffolk Council and were given a brief to showcase the town. In this instance, Aldeburgh was the chosen city.
The project I designed for this was to create an app and a website that works together to allow tourists to walk around the beautiful Suffolk beach town whilst ensuring all critical areas were on the route. The website will also allow companies and local businesses to promote their service at a discounted rate.
During this project, the logos, images and all the content were sourced and designed by me.
One of the projects that were set during my degree was to research and create our own icons to illustrate situations and showcase a simple understanding of the images for viewers.
During my final year and through lockdown, I was employed by the University of Suffolk as a Graphic Designer. Whilst working for the university, I was assigned to create two posters to inform new students about the Suffolk Life Mentor Scheme.
The posters were placed across the campus and had greater success from the simplicity and the information provided.
I was invited to take part in a program to showcase the careers team within the University to potential new stakeholders and businesses across the UK, I decided to showcase the benefits and skills one can gain from taking part in a careers day set up by the university.
This poster was chosen as the winner and has been awarded the number 1 design of the year.
